Albion Stone and Hutton Stone are proud to present Brick From a Stone: Arch Revival at Clerkenwell Design Week 2025, taking place from 20–23 May.

In collaboration with Hawkins\Brown Architects and Webb Yates Engineers, we have designed and crafted two striking 4-metre-high, single-skin arches that celebrate the strength, sustainability, and timeless beauty of natural stone bricks.

One arch has been constructed using Albion Stone’s Heritage Portland Stone Bricks, while the other showcases Hutton Stone’s Darney Heritage Stone Bricks.

Together, these structures demonstrate the impressive compressive strength of natural stone—and offer a significantly lower carbon footprint compared with traditional clay bricks.

In recent weeks, Albion Stone Restoration, has been hard at work at the Portland factory, carefully assembling each arch. This weekend, the completed arches will make their journey to London, where they will be installed outside the historic Crown Tavern Pub on Clerkenwell Green.

We warmly invite architects, designers and all visitors to experience Brick From a Stone: Arch Revival in person. Come and explore these bold, self-supporting stone forms and chat with our team about how natural stone bricks can bring elegance, resilience and sustainability to your next project.

We look forward to welcoming you to Clerkenwell Green from 20 May!
